Text Box: Vizion Green Africa Trust is committed to champion local activities and projects that enables impoverished and vulnerable communities in Sub-Saharan Africa to cope with the present and future impacts of climatic change. Realising that climatic change is likely to impact developing countries in Africa more negatively than their developed counterparts, we believe there is great need to build capacity to deal with the challenge at grassroots level especially in areas where people’s livelihoods rely on climate sensitive activities such as agriculture. Acknowledging climate change as a reality already being experienced in various parts of Africa in various forms notably increased frequency and severity of such weather extremes as cyclones, droughts, floods, reduced and unpredictable precipitation, it is therefore paramount that developing countries take part in global efforts to stabilize atmospheric temperature by engaging in such activities as tree planting, switching over to renewable sources of energy and enacting policies that safeguard environmental protection. Such will ensure intergenerational justice whereby the current generation bequeaths a healthy planet to forthcoming generations.
